Do I need a referral or prescription from my child's doctor before booking?

It depends on your insurance coverage. Some plans require a referral or prescription before therapy can begin, while others don’t. If your plan requires one, you would need to get it from your child’s doctor before we start. I’m happy to guide you through what you may need

What if my insurance doesn't cover therapy?

I understand that paying for therapy out of pocket can be a concern for families. If insurance doesn’t cover your child’s services, let me know and we can talk through the options available. My goal is to make the process as transparent and straightforward as possible

My child hasn't been diagnosed yet. Can we still come in?

Yes, absolutely. Your child does not need to have a diagnosis before you reach out to me. If you’ve noticed concerns with their speech, language, communication, or development, we can start with an evaluation. I’ll take the time to understand what you’ve been noticing and look at your child’s current skills so we can determine what kind of support may be helpful

How often will my child come in?

It really depends on your child, and I’ll be able to give you a much better recommendation after the initial evaluation. I’ll look at their communication skills, specific areas of difficulty, goals, and how they respond to therapy. From there, I’ll explain how often I recommend visits and why. I also understand that families have busy schedules, so I want to create a plan that is both clinically appropriate and realistic for you

What does a typical session look like?

Usually, we’ll begin with a quick check-in, then spend most of the session working on your child’s goals through fun and age-appropriate activities. I’ll keep track of their progress and make adjustments when needed. I also like to give parents a quick update afterward so you know what we worked on and how you can support those skills at home
